Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Teleplay Studios, LLC ("Teleplay", "we", "us", or "our"), a Delaware limited liability company. They govern your use of the website at teleplay.ai and the Teleplay production workspace (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Teleplay is production software for serialized vertical drama. It helps you plan seasons, write scripts, manage reference assets, generate AI video clips, and export finished episodes. The Service is currently in private beta: features may change, access is granted in waves from the waitlist, and availability is not guaranteed during the beta period.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, at least the age of digital consent in your country, and at least 18 years old to purchase a paid plan. You agree to provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. Notify us at info@teleplay.ai if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Plans, billing, and credits

• Paid plans are billed as recurring subscriptions through our payment processor. Prices are listed on the pricing section of teleplay.ai and are stated in USD, exclusive of applicable taxes.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. We will give you reasonable advance notice of any price change, and the change applies from your next renewal.
• Generation credits included in a plan reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over unless we state otherwise. Purchased top-up credits remain available while your subscription is active.
• Cancellation and refunds are handled as described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the scripts, summaries, images, audio, and other material you upload to the Service ("Input") and, to the extent permitted by law and these Terms, the video, images, and text the Service generates for you ("Output"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Input and Output solely to provide and improve the Service. You are responsible for having the rights to any Input you upload.

5. AI-generated output

Output is produced by machine learning systems, including third-party AI models. Similar or identical output may be generated for other users, and output may contain errors or artifacts. You are responsible for reviewing Output before publishing it and for how you use it, including compliance with the laws and platform rules that apply where you distribute it. We do not guarantee that Output is protectable by copyright in your jurisdiction.

6. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service must comply with our Acceptable Use and Content Policy, which is part of these Terms. We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate it.

7. Intellectual property

The Service itself, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to Teleplay and its licensors. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights in the Service are transferred to you. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including AI model providers, payment processing, and hosting. Their availability affects the Service, and their terms may apply to specific features. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate without cause, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Beta features in particular may change or break without notice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teleplay will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 USD if you have not paid us. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your home jurisdiction remain unaffected where they apply.
