Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Teleplay Studios, LLC ("Teleplay", "we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use teleplay.ai and the Teleplay production workspace (the "Service"). The short version: we collect what we need to run the Service, we do not sell your personal information, and your creative work stays yours.

1. Information we collect

• Waitlist and contact data. Your email address when you join the waitlist or write to us.
• Account data. Email address, display name, and settings when you create an account.
• Your content. Scripts, summaries, reference images, audio, prompts, and the videos and other output you generate in the workspace.
• Payment data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your plan, billing status, and partial card details (such as the card brand and last four digits), but we never store full card numbers.
• Usage data. Aggregate, cookieless analytics on the website (page views, referrers, coarse geography) and product usage events that help us operate and improve the Service.

2. How we use information

We use your information to provide and improve the Service: to operate your workspace, generate the content you request, process payments, send service emails (waitlist status, billing, security, and product updates you can opt out of), prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

3. AI processing of your content

Generating video requires sending the relevant parts of your content (prompts, scripts, reference assets) to AI model providers for processing. We share only what is needed to run your generation, and we do not sell your content or use it to build advertising profiles. We do not use your content to train our own models without your consent.

4. Sharing

We share information only with:

• Service providers that run parts of the Service for us: hosting and analytics (Vercel), waitlist forms (Formspree), payments (Stripe), email delivery, and AI model providers for generation.
• Legal recipients when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.

5. Retention

We keep account data and your content while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep records longer for legal, billing, or security reasons. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or we launch and no longer need the list.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR and the CCPA, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email info@teleplay.ai from the address associated with your account. We do not discriminate against you for exercising them.

7. Cookies

The marketing site at teleplay.ai uses cookieless, aggregate analytics and sets no tracking cookies. The workspace uses strictly necessary cookies for signing in and keeping your session secure.

8. Security and international transfers

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your information. The Service is operated from the United States; if you use it from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States with appropriate safeguards.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the product before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the latest version.
